Located around the centre of Pattaya Beach, the Monkey Bar was the first on Koh Lipe. A super friendly local sea gypsy family run the bar, and also the Monkey restaurant, next door. The Monkey is especially popular with long term travellers who have been coming to Lipe for many years, so it's a good place to have interesting conversations with people who remember Koh Lipe when it was a simple backpacker island. The Monkey Bar is Koh Lipe's original, unpretentious, simple, laid back, and most of all, fun, beach bar.
