Zanom Sunrise was one of the first resorts on Sunrise Beach. Located between the the Castaway resort and the Anda resort, the Zanom Sunrise my not have the size or prestige of its neighbours, but it makes up for it with charm and simplicity. Set within plenty of coconut and other trees, the 20 or so bungalows are simple, but clean, with terrace, double bed, fan, mosquito net, and bathroom. Recently, the local sea gypsy family that own and run Zanom, have built some air conditioning bungalows to cater for guests requiring more comfort. And this year a single bungalow was built directly on the beach, and has a large balcony that is the perfect place to watch the sunrise over Koh Tarutao, Koh Usen, and Koh Talak. And one more attraction: the reeft is great for snorkelling, particularly around Koh Usen, where black tip reef sharks are often seen!
The restaurant is right on the white sand beach and serves a wide selection of western and Thai dishes. In the evenings a delicious seafood BBQ is also served..
