Owned by a local sea gypsy family, the Viewpoint resort is located on a small white sand beach at the southern end of Sunrise beach. To reach this private looking beach, walk to the end of Sunrise beach, walk around the back of the rocks, and you’ll stumble across one of the cosiest and most charming spots on Lipe, with lots of trees and powder soft white sand. The woners have recently started replacing their old bamboo style bungalows with newer wooden ones located right on the beach. Some of the older bungalows still exist up on the hill, and although a bit tatty, they are suited to the budget conscious traveller and command wonderful sunrise views of the Andaman Sea and the other islands of the Tarutao-Adang archipelago.
