Around the centre of Pattaya Beach is the Lipe Resort – a place very popular with Thai tourists and package groups. There are very few longtail boats on the wonderful stretch of white sand that stretches for the entire length of this resort. There are a range of bungalows to suit all tastes, but during the past few years many of the older bungalows have been replaced by newer ones with air conditioning, hot water, and TV. The Lipe resort restaurant is located on the beach, serves the usual variety of Thai dishes, and is sometimes a popular place for karaoke nights.
