At the western end of Pattaya Beach, set along a beautiful stretch of powder soft white sand, is the Daya Resort. Run by a local family, the resort contains a range of simple rooms and bungalows (some directly on the beach and with wonderful sea views!) set amongst pleasant jungle, gardens and coconut trees. All rooms and bungalows have double bed/ twin beds, fan, box mosquito net, balcony, fan, and private bathroom. Snorkelling and fishing trips can be arranged at the Daya.
The Daya restaurant and seafood BBQ is reputed to be the best on Koh Lipe. Come here at 6:30pm and watch the local sea gypsy fishermen bring in their catch. Then choose your fish – as fresh as you can get it! – take a table on the beach, and prepare yourself for a delicious meal! Customers sitting at the Daya tables can also order pizza from the Pizzeria, next door.
