Coco Bungalows resort was one of the first to be built on Sunrise Beach. Run by a local sea gypsy family, the resort is sandwiched between the Castaway Resort, and features a beachfront restaurant serving delicious Thai food and seafood BBQ.
The bungalows to the rear are arranged in two rows, and are set amongst coconut and other trees. Most of the bungalows are made from wood and other natural materials, each one having fan, double bed, mosquito net, terrace, and bathroom. The bungalows closest to the beach are particularly nice, being made almost entirely of bamboo, are spacious, and have two large doors that open up the bedroom to the cooling east wind that blows during the Lipe high season – December-March. The bungalows to the rear are older and more basic, but ideal for the budget conscious traveller.
